Christopher Caligari
President
Christopher Caligari was born in Liverpool, England in 1956. After studying mathematics at the University of Wales Institute of Science & Technology, Cardiff, he became a Quantity Surveyor, continuing his professional studies at Southampton College of Technology’s School of Building. He gained an international pedigree after joining the London-based Murdoch Green Partnership where he worked for the company on four continents and helped establish a North American branch office. He also met future wife and CostPro partner Diana Rubino during this period, and they decided upon permanent residence in the USA. Chris is also a member of the Boston Society of Architects.
Determined to offer the region’s best cost consulting service, Chris and Diana founded CostPro in 1995, after a decade spent building and managing a successful branch office for MMP International. Chris believes that all clients should be treated as clients and not just sources of revenue. CostPro put this belief into practice with remarkable results. The firm’s growth rate has been a stunning 50% per year and client retention well over 95%.
Chris lives with his wife, Diana, in a country home in New Hampshire. They have a second home in Myrtle Beach but consider England to be their true second home. Chris is a keen golfer with more enthusiasm than skill and a handicap of 20. He is an accomplished chess master with a peak APCT rating of 2232 in 1995. He has represented the US in play against England, Germany, Israel and Uruguay. There are also a few racquetball trophies on the mantle shelf.

Diana Rubino, MP
Vice President/Director of Marketing
After college graduation, Diana embarked upon an adventure that took her to her favorite place in the world, London. A year later she returned to the U.S. with her British husband-to-be, Chris Caligari.
They moved to Houston to start their own business, and Diana pursued a parallel writing career. She created and edited Wireless, a music magazine, which she says was the next best thing to being a rock star.
After two years in Washington D.C., Diana and Chris came to Boston to manage the New England branch of MMP International, Inc.
Diana served as MMP’s Marketing Director and also ran the company’s finances. Together with Chris, she brought MMP from a 2-person firm to a profitable enterprise. In 1995, Diana and Chris took the opportunity to strike out on their own and the business naturally followed. CostPro Inc., is headquartered in Harvard Square.
Diana is studying for a Master’s degree in Heritage Studies at Plymouth State College, Plymouth, NH, and participates in archaeological excavations as part of the coursework. She’s been on digs at Paleoindian sites, dating between 8,000 and 10,000 years old.
An active SMPS member since 1989, Diana served two terms as Treasurer of the Boston Chapter. She is also a member of the Boston Society of Architects .
